What you should know about AHeadStart Tuition
I believe every student has the ability to achieve success in subject, both at school or in tertiary education. The secret is to be willing to put in the time and commitment required to succeed. AHeadStart provides one on one and group tuition in all Maths, English, Science Commerce subjects. The areas a student needs strengthening are identified and then a customised programme of tuition is developed.
Tuition begins with an initial assessment, which is followed by foundation and reinforcement. AHeadStart specialises in assisting secondary school students in Years 9 to 13, particularly those studying towards New Zealand NCEA Levels 1 3. Tuition towards the Cambridge International Examinations IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate IB is also available. Tuition is also available to primary school students for maths, reading, writing and science. Knowledge of Maths, English, Science and Commerce is fundamental in our rapidly progressing world.
Science and technology play a significant role in everyday life, so a solid grounding in Science and Maths skills at school is essential. Combined with strong English communication skills and an understanding of Commerce, all students can aim to contribute towards a brighter, more confident New Zealand society that values life long learning. AHeadStart firmly believes that although many students struggle with these subjects at school, with expert guidance and encouragement all students have the ability to succeed in any field they choose. Our aim is to help every student discover their own individual learning style, so that learning is enjoyable, interesting as well as ultimately successful.

In addition to helping students overcome their difficulties, AHeadStart feels it is essential that students also develop sound revision skills to maximise exam achievements.
Melanie was a top student at Christchurch Girls' High School and went on to achieve a First Class BSc Hons degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Canterbury. Melanie completed her PhD in biochemistry at the University of Otago, Christchurch in 2011. During 2004 and 2005 Melanie worked for BrainMasters Ltd as a tutor of mathematics, science and chemistry for secondary school students. It was at this time Melanie discovered her enjoyment in teaching and helping students to achieve their best, beyond their own expectations.
So with hands on knowledge of the scientific process and prior tutoring experience, Melanie established AHeadStart Ltd in Christchurch, NZ, in July 2009
