What you should know about AO Architecture, Limited
AO Architecture is a young and innovative architectural practice, aware of the importance of delivering a unique project that is tailored to meet each specific client’s requests. We are active in the provision of architectural, interior design and project management services. We strive to meet client’s budgets and requirements and package this into a workable and environmentally responsible design solution. This provided him with a great appreciation of modern and classical architecture which enriched and expanded his project design work upon returned.
Michael worked for two architectural firms in Christchurch before starting AO Architecture with business partner Nicholas Mann in 2011. He has a strong client focus and is very capable of leading the project team to ensure a great outcome. On return from a short spell as a project manager in Australia he started up AO Architecture with his business partner Michael John in 2011. Throughout his studies and work history he has gained both a strong practical and theoretical knowledge in the areas of design and construction.
Prior to his architecture degree he studied a Carpentry Pre trade which gave an insight into the way a building is put together and the process that it follows. Alice has always had a strong passion architecture as well as for other creative practices that include jewelry making. Scott is from a spatial design and construction background, having studied at Massey University in Wellington and the University of North Carolina Greensboro, after completing a joinery apprenticeship prior to university study. His interests are in architecture, mainly residential home design, adaptable living and architectural conservation.

This important family home has a believable layout which is made to maximize the outdoor living with entertaining areas opening on to the rear yard and a sheltered courtyard space. It features a important living space and gym that can be accessed from both the tennis court and pool on either side. This house has been designed with two wings to partition the living areas from the very private sleeping area. This building was designed for and owner operator with specific requirements around office and showroom functionality.
Prosper sketch drawings to formalism the design to a point where cost estimates can be obtained and Resource Consent applications lodged. The lower floor houses a warehouse at the rear of the building with offices fronting onto a showroom space. Prepare comprehensive documentation as required for Building Consent application and tender. A lengthy gallery space is sited along the park view side sheltered by established trees.
The dwelling sits on an established section and is centered around a important Magnolia Tree leading to the entrance. Preliminary Concept Design Developed Design Detailed Documentation Procurement Contract istration and Construction Observation. This process is discussed during the initial obligation release meeting along with information on our services and fees. The decision was made to utilize the large amount of attic space which provided a third floor which is currently used as a large billiards room.
The spotted gum timber cladding and concrete tilt panel are carried through from the outside to interior. A new two smooth family home designed to replace an earthquake damaged house along the Avon River
