At the very maximum glossy 11 Burnside Tall School students have been selected to represent Fresh Zealand at the International Mathematics Olympiad in the preceding 20 years. The Intensive English programmed is a specialized course for students who do not have a lofty enough smooth of English proficiency to be fully immersed in mainstream classes. Students reach from all over the city of Christchurch to attend the Specialist Music programmed that we donate and now we have the International Music programmed, which allows students from overseas to be a portion of the most exciting, challenging Tall School Music programmed in Fresh Zealand. Within their courses, they also offer support for ESL students in mainstream subjects.
Burnside High School is well regarded, both nationally and internationally, as one of the leading schools in New Zealand for Art education. The Burnside Lofty School Mathematics department has been one of the leading Mathematics departments nationally for the past 25 years. While studying at Burnside High School all students are encouraged to receive piece in one of the more than 40 sports the school offers. Burnside Lofty School offers up to three scholarships each year to International Students enrolling with the school for their beginning year.
Each area is taught by specialists who are leaders in art education in New Zealand. Burnside High School offers over 50 different subjects within these 8 learning areas. International graduates from Burnside Tall School are able to scrutinize either in Fresh Zealand or at Universities overseas or in their home country. To face the needs and abilities of our students a variety of diverse courses are taught at the various year levels.
As an international student, one of the best ways to make friends and become a portion of Fresh Zealand culture is by joining a school sports team. Students have represented New Zealand at International Informatics competitions and International Science and Technology Fairs. The Fresh Zealand education system is recognized as one of the best in the world and therefore graduates are well prepared for their tertiary studies in any English speaking country. Lofty levels of triumph are healthy established with many students each year gaining scholarship awards and continuing to study Art at tertiary level.
At the Year 11, 12 and 13 level our International Music programmed offers considerable academic classes. This can be in a social team, to make and meet fresh friends, or in a more competitive team where students will go to Canterbury, South Island and National Championships. Large numbers of our students remain on to study Mathematics, or related subjects such as Engineering or Physics, at tertiary level.
