What you should know about Cherry Grove Cattery
Cherry Grove Cattery is a family business run by Lisa and Jeff Sutherland and their two teenage daughters, Georgia and Antonia. Lisa and Jeff have grown up with many animals including dogs, fish, birds, mice, rabbits and many cats. On weekends, holidays and after school, Georgia and Antonia can always be found in the cattery talking and smooching with the cats or they have even been spotted with the music on dancing with them!. The well being of your cat is truly of the utmost importance and careful steps are taken to ensure that their stay is as stress free as possible
We can donate your loved one a home away from home, with individual attention in a private and secure rural setting on our four hectare lifestyle property within the Christchurch City limits.
A vaccination certificates or vet booklet is required to be produced at the time of drop off and the certificate must be vogue for the complete boarding period. We question that all cats be treated for fleas and worms prior their stay with us and that they are fully vaccinated at minimum 10 days before to arrival. As there are only 18 suites in each building, even when the cattery is stuffed there are plenty of opportunities throughout the day for our wee feline friends to get out and have a stretch. Exterior there are enclosed paved areas with rock gardens where the guests take turns to climb on the trees, logs and garden furniture. It has a lounge area where cats are qualified to have a walk around and play with the toys.
Our accommodation is in two insulated buildings with a mixture of individual units and double rooms for families. If grooming is needed while staying at our cattery, this can be organized through the Templeton Pet Clinic. Transporting and charges for veterinarian care and grooming will be at the owner's expense. If you have a preferred food for your cat delight feel release to bring it along with you. If a cat requires any veterinary protection during their stay with us, we will use preferred vets where possible.
