Robinetta grew up in rural New Zealand, what she calls the food basket of the world, where she spent much of her time with her mother, Marjory and her grandmother Jean. From a young age Robyn spent her days pickling, canning, chopping and stirring with fond remembers of cooking for farm workers and at the very young age of 12 cooking her first Christmas Lunch. Robyn eventually moved away to study, travel and eventually settle in Christchurch to begin a successful career in Physiotherapy. When she had a family of her own, she focused on a career that gave her more flexibility.
In 199, she started Global Gourmets, a Culinary Marketing and Tuscany Tours Company. Global Gourmets focuses on introducing guests to the riches of the New Zealand and Tuscany carefully crafted food and wine experiences. Although Robyn has participated in cooking classes all over the world and built wonderful friendships, she has based her business on the art of connection through culinary travel and culture. She is passionate about cooking local produce and the traditional art of food preservation and production
