Astounding photographers should capture people at their best so for us, Glow Studio is about seeing those important moments and making it a quality recorded memory. Susan made the decision to stay in New Zealand instead of pursuing her love of photojournalism in Europe after falling in love with her best friend Brett. The studio allowed Glow Studio to expand and grow in the photography industry. An adventurous change for the direction of the company, but the journey has been colourful, fun and joyful every step of the way. There are many more exciting milestones ahead for Glow Studio, and many more people to join the adventurous journey.

Susan Siu Grobler is an international wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Christchurch, New Zealand. She has been shooting professionally for eleven years and has travelled across New Zealand and the world photographing extravagant weddings, people, fashion, travel, and editorial assignments for discerning clients. Susan’s gift for capturing life has been recognised by Canon NZ and Earth Sea Sky both of whom are linked to Glow Studio in support of recent travels for photography work.
Susan holds workshops to teach up and coming photographers the latest techniques in digital photography. Susan is a woman of faith who exhibits integrity and generosity in her business and personal relationships. In her free time, she enjoys running, snowboarding, hiking, time with friends, hot honey lemon drinks made by Brett, and most anything else that keeps her body and mind active. Let your light shine before men so they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Each couple has its own story and she counts it a profound privilege to be involved. Miss Siu, 24, wants the studio to exude freshness and warmth, so it feels like home for people who walk in. Her long board, a favourite mode of transport about the streets, lies near the front door. At the Manawatu Business Awards, where she won the solo entrepreneur category, she invited everyone to join her for a cup of tea. Glow Studio was open just three months when the business was nominated for an award. Some people thought she should wait for things to settle down, but, after receiving encouragement from her parents, Miss Siu decided to go for it. A hushed audience at last month’s awards listened to Miss Siu tell how she had been taking photographs at the awards for the Manawatu Standard two years ago and wondered if she might one day be part of it. Glow Studio is honoured to promote Canon NZ for their support in our travels around the globe.
