Seventy five successful years in the building industry speaks volumes about the quality of Gregg Builders's work. Gregg Builders in Christchurch was established in 1939 by Master Builder George Gregg. His son Bruce and now his grandson Colin have continued the proud tradition of master craftsmanship, growing Gregg Builders into one New Zealand’s leading builders of quality architecturally designed homes. Both my grandfather, George Gregg, and my father, Bruce Gregg, were builders and I can remember from an early age that all I wanted to do was follow in their footsteps and become a Master Builder.
I can still remember the excitement of getting my first pay packet at the end of the week along with all the other guys. It felt good to be part of a team and I couldn’t wait to finish school and become a builder. As they worked together over the coming years, Colin gradually learned the secrets of building houses those that will pass the test of time. There are architects, surveyors, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and staff to manage, materials to select, deadlines to achieve, and budgets to meet.

I am happy to say, that I would support Gregg Builders, as an excellent building company. High on the top of Mount Pleasing is a wonderful home that under took a major renovation with the assist of Gregg Builders, Weir Walker Architecture and Armstrong Interiors. Gregg Builders has three generations of history, dating correct back to 1939, and the company has built some iconic homes over the final 75 years which both Gregg Builders and the property owners themselves are very proud of. I would support Gregg Builders to others wanting an efficient construct process, and a high quality finish. Colin has built two homes for me and my family over the final 5 years, and although neither house was particularly effortless to build, both were finished on time, and budget and to the highest standard of workmanship.
Gregg Builders has received numerous Master Builder awards throughout the years, and many clients have arrive back to the company to build their second and even third homes, owing to the quality of Gregg Builders architectural houses. The build came in on budget and the 10 month project extended impartial a fortnight past the initial project completion date.
