HAPA is a Design store which began life located inside a shipping container in Christchurch, New Zealand, launched on October 2011 as part of the Re Start Container mall project run by Re Start The Heart Trust to bring back life into the city. The innovative mall consists of a group of shipping containers designed by The Buchan Group Architects and represents the start of the rebuild of the CBD. The mall was the first CBD red zoned area to open to the public after months of being closed, due to the devastation of the quakes. We like to say we Love the Extraordinary and our product range reflects exactly that an interesting, unique, bespoke range of gifts, jewellery and homewares that we have carefully curated to delight our customers. We work directly with many local kiwi designers and artists, and some well known international brands too. At HAPA you will find beautiful jewellery and artworks, bags and accessories, baby gear, men's gifts, watches, stationery, homeware everything you need for any occasion birthdays, weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, farewells, and more!.
You will find carefully chosen unique products, mostly handmade and locally produced in New Zealand, as well as a range of HAPA designs. We believe that things that are made well last longer and support and admire quality craftmanship. HAPA's aim is to keep surprising and inspiring our customers, and to contribute to our local economy. We are constantly on the lookout for innovative jewellery, homeware and gifts if you have something interesting to offer, we would love to hear from you!.

In October 2015 we opened a HAPA store in the beautiful Tannery building this heritage space is a boutique shopping emporium on the banks of the Heathcote River in Woolston, Christchurch, New Zealand. At HAPA you will find beautiful jewellery, bags, accessories, baby gear, men's gifts, watches, stationery, homeware, artworks and handcrafted items everything you need for any occasion! We showcase carefully chosen unique products, mostly handmade and locally produced, as well as our own range of HAPA designs. We admire quality craftmanship and support more then 200 local artists, designers and creatives
