We offer work experience programs that combine study at Languages International and employment in a New Zealand workplace. The Work New Zealand program, a support service where you get help to find a job and organize your life in New Zealand. Choosing the right program for you depends mainly on the kind of visa you have, your English level, your education and work background, and your reason for wanting to work in New Zealand.
A working holiday support program for students who want to get general experience of working in New Zealand and earn some money to help support their study or travel. Even if your level of English is quite high, we recommend that you study at Languages International for at least 4 weeks before you start your internship so you can get used to New Zealand, make some new friends and brush up your English in preparation for working. New Zealand Qualifications Authority The school is registered by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority NZQA . This means we can offer our students support for Pathway Student visa applications before they come to NZ, as well as the convenience of online applications for visa changes and extensions after they have started their course. This helps your reading and listening skills and means that you are meeting new vocabulary all the time. The University of Cambridge gave approval to Languages International to run the first RSA Cambridge certificate level teacher training course in New Zealand for English language teachers now known as the Cambridge CELTA . This led to the creation of the Languages International Teacher Education Centre, which has subsequently run Cambridge diploma level courses Cambridge DELTA and created its own TESOL Professional Development Course for non native speakers. The school opened its state of the art learning centre and new student cafe. Senior academic staff published two international English language textbooks with Macmillan Heinemann and Oxford University Press.
These textbooks are available internationally and used in schools around the world. Our teachers are available in the Learning Centre to give you advice about your language learning, recommend activities, and help you with your English language study
