The works are both flimsy and familiar and in a state of constant change as is the land they represent. Using these techniques she creates subtle and interesting textures and colors through the grouping and selection of images and patterns. Layers of patterns in my labor create a moving landscape that takes deposit on its microcosmic level. I have been making jewellery fulltime since 2003 and now live in Nelson, busy in a insignificant workshop at my home.
My work is held in considerable collections and has received a number of awards. I seek to rejoice this wonderful diversity in New Zealand's flora, fauna and landscapes. Annie is represented by galleries all over Fresh Zealand, and her pieces feature in collections around the world. I have been developing my skills as a Contemporary Studio jeweler since 1990 and now work from my studio at home in Christchurch.
She has completed pleasing art prints, paintings, private commissions and design projects and has received awards in painting, printmaking and design. Tim's important scale works have been exhibited at some of New Zealand's major outdoor sculpture exhibitions including Sculpture on the Peninsula Christchurch, Sculpture Onshore Auckland, and Shapeshifter at the Fresh Dowse Art Museum Wellington. Over the years the designing and making of jewellery has become more crucial and much more satisfying to me and has become a constant in my life. From a young child she eternal loved creating things and knew her direction in life had to be in Art, in making attractive pieces.
I am represented by galleries in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. Dalzell’s art practice focuses mainly with intaglio printmaking and drawing. Rebecca was invited to exhibit her work as segment of the Begin Gallery Series at coca Gallery in 2010.
