Lyn Bell Associates is based in Christchurch and provides financial planning services Nationwide. Lyn is an Authorised Financial Adviser and Certified Financial Planner providing insurance and investment advice. In 2005 Lyn was awarded the IFA Canterbury Branch Education Award, an award that recognises dedication and hard work. Until I started my own business in 1998 I had a total of 28 years experience in the Banking Industry, both in New Zealand and in Africa.
During this time I gained invaluable experience in the Financial Services Industry from the perspective of a Banker. This included in the areas of International, Lending, Investment and Insurance. And just to add a little interest I even worked in the Assay laboritory of Barclays Bank in my home town, Bulawayo, assessing soil samples for gold, copper and other metals! After completing courses and study relating to the financial services industry I became one of only three trainers in the field of Unit Trusts mutual funds for the Bank of New Zealand. From 1996 I was employed as an in house Financial Planner for the staff at the Flight Centre, setting up their New Zealand division.
I am a member of the Institute of Financial Advisers IFA and a member of SIFA formally Society of Independent Financial Advisers . I completed my studies through Massey University and am now a designated CFP. is a professional regulatory organisation based in the United States of America that fosters professional standards in personal financial planning so that the public has access to and benefits from competent and ethical financial planning. The Institute of Financial Advisers is a professional body for needs based advisers, insurance and investment advisers and financial planners. The purpose of the Professional Advisors Association Inc is provide a unique combination of highly valued services to members resulting in the organisation being recognised as the leading industry representative body for financial service advisors. As an Authorised Financial Adviser in Christchurch Lyn Bell has passed the requirements of the Financial Markets Authority and is legally qualified to provide financial services to her clients throughout New Zealand
