Originally a Decorating Company, Masta Dec was established in Auckland from 1994 to 2010. During this time to 2005 , Masta Dec was main contractor to Housing New Zealand, contracted to maintain approximately 6,00 properties in the South Auckland region carrying out maintenance repairs covering all trades imaginable. The company moved to Christchurch following the second devastating earthquake on 22nd February 2011, to become involved with the earthquake repair work and the rebuild of Christchurch. Rona Reid, Director of Masta Dec and her partner Stu McKinstry Project Manager of Masta Dec had to convince their 2 children years at the time what a great place Christchurch was.
