What you should know about Royal New Zealand Air Force Recruiting Office
The Reserve Force also offers both professional development within your military trade and training for promotion to becoming a military leader. People who employ Reserves are vital to the effectiveness of New Zealand's Reserve Forces. Their decision making skills and problem solving abilities enable them to plan and execute tasks in a wide variety of scenarios. It is their job to earn trust and respect from the personnel under their charge and display the strength of character to inspire.
The Regular Force within the Navy, Army and Air Force are the full time components of the Defence Force. This is an opportunity to play your part, learn trades and experience life in the Defence Force, but on a part time basis. This means you can experience the best of both worlds and combine a civilian career with Defence Force experience. We’re New Zealand’s Navy, Army and Air Force three Services, one force a Force for New Zealand.
Together we protect New Zealand’s interests at sea, safeguard peace and stability within our neighbouring regions and further afield, and help others in times of need with agile air operations across the world. This could mean fighting alongside our allies in a combat zone, helping safeguard peace and stability in a war torn country, or going in after a natural disaster and helping save lives and rebuild communities. And it needs a huge amount of teamwork, with everyone knowing exactly where they fit in. To build a sustainable force for the future our people need to have a range of ambitions and skills. This may include helping those suffering hardship as a result of war or a natural disaster or working with search and rescue teams to find someone who needs help.
If you want to make a positive difference to the world, you will find many opportunities to do it in the Defence Force. From supporting the United Nations with personnel and resources to standing shoulder to shoulder with our military allies, we go where the work takes us and it takes us to many interesting and exotic places, from Antarctica to Egypt. From 600m warships brimming with complex weapon systems to the fastest communication infrastructures in the country, we get to experience technology that isn’t seen in the civilian world. On top of that are benefits such as annual leave, subsidised food and accommodation, free medical and dental care and superannuation schemes to help you save for the future.
