What you should know about Southern Ballet Theatre
Fulltime Professional Training and theater Performance Course Fulltime Training. Behind finishing her schooling Antoinette trained at the Fresh Zealand School of Dance and then the National theater School in Melbourne. Glen returned home to Christchurch and to Southern Ballet theater, where he has been the Senior Tutor. Lioudmila teaches in the Senior School, achieving an excellent student win rate in examinations, and is the director of the Intermediate Ballet Company tutoring and choreographing their productions.
In 1997 Haley joined the Southern Ballet Company as a fulltime dancer performing in numerous productions. Glen is the director of the Senior Ballet Company tutors and choreographs their productions. Artistic Director Head of Senior Ballet Company Senior Boys Professional Open Class Glen Harris. Fiona trained under Miss Peters QM tutelage at Southern Ballet until she was 17 years of age leaving to accept an invitation to join the New Zealand Ballet Company.
A graduate of the NZ SD, Sean has been performing ballet, contemporary and musical theater roles with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Southern Ballet and abundant local choreographers. After doing jazz for 10 years and contemporary for 4 years, she has now successfully gained her Solo Performance Diploma in both disciplines. Opened for the 4th term of 2013 studios 4 is now the home of our Fresh School. During her career, she has trained abundant dancers who have gone on to unite professional ballet companies at Principal and Soloist levels.
Maureen Coulter operated her own dance school in Christchurch the Maureen Perry School of Dance for a number of years, teaching ballet and national dance at junior and senior level. Wayne has also played and toured with the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company as their migrant pianist for piece of their NZ Tours on considerable occasions. Upon completion of his training at Southern Ballet, he went to begin an extensive dancing career around the world where he beginning joined the Australian Ballet in 1981 and was a featured soloist in many roles. Southern Ballet offers Ore School Ballet classes for 3 4 years of age and Beginners Ballet Classes for 4 5 years of age. In 1975 she became Founder and Artistic Director of Southern Ballet theater and five years behind returning from the U. A founded the Southern Ballet Junior Company.
Sean lights and 'techs' the Southern Ballet theater for many of our company and school productions. Classes start from age 3 and progress correct up to Ore Professional Slick and the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for major levels
