This has allowed for true craftsmanship and knowledge to develop over many years and this passion and experience has been passed down. SS1 Steering Wheels We now have available fresh steering wheels to suit all models of SS1's. Many insignificant areas of rust need repairing earlier the outer panels can be fitted. So for the first time in many years we have a entire rolling chassis on wheels The body shell was entirely painted underneath along with the boot and engine bay. Whilst our vehicle restorers specialism in Jaguar and SS cars, we have completed many restorations on other marques. From repairs to existing woodwork through to building whole wooden frames and fabricating the steel or alloy body panels to suit.
With the body of the Kombi back from sand blasting what was left was painted with an epoxy coating inside and out to guard the bare steel. The 'iffy' or Offenhauser racing engine is a racing engine design that dominated American unfold wheel racing for more than 50 years and is calm popular among vintage sprint and midget vehicle racers. One is segment way through the repair process and the other shows what we started with. The vehicle was trim assembled using as much of the creative body labor as feasible so we could ascertain what was missing.
