What you should know about Bumble Bees Swim School

The skills I developed as an athlete, I use every day in my career and personal life. We worked incredibly hard together and I loved that feeling after a hard session of knowing that you had given it everything. I would listen carefully and work for months on the points he was telling me. Lydia Lipscombe New Zealand Olympic Games Representative 1996 Commonwealth Games Representative 1998 During my swimming career Blair was a dedicated and devoted coach. always encouraging, always committed to getting the best results from his swimmers.
It is honestly some of the best service in Christchurch! We have been very impressed. Blair's firm but kind and encouraging teaching style emulates through MAC's that tutors, parents and students can't help but flourish under. At MAC’s we allow swimmers the opportunity to learn and build confidence by practice. We frequently talk to others about the positives of Bumble Bees The friendly staff, family type atmosphere, small class sizes, warm pool and close location.
We love the fact that the children can't touch the bottom of the pool and have to prove their proficiency and confidence before mum and dad hop out. We pride ourselves on our friendly, dedicated and professional teachers who strive to ensure children reach their potential in a fun filled and positive environment. His coaching background has involved coaching Lydia Lipscombe to both Commonwealth and Olympic honours, and placing Sirinton Coe on the the Pan Pacific Games Team in 1995. He coached numerous other swimmers to National Open and Age Group titles while coaching at the Wharenui Swim club. Karen has a Bachelor of Education in primary teaching, a diploma in swim teaching and has been teaching swimming for 20 years.
Her expertise in planning lessons to cater for each specific age group has ensured that Bumble Bees programme is progressive, skill focused and always evolving. We strongly believe in the learning triangle of child parent teacher, and therefore we retain parents in the water until children are swimming fully independently, and are safe in deep water. Parents have a deeper understanding of what their children are doing and more importantly, WHY they are practicing certain skills. At Bumble Bees the child comes first! We do not believe in forcing children to perform tasks that they are not happy and comfortable with. Bumble Bees has been working hard on rolling out our new lesson plans particularly focusing on our babies to toddlers levels at present
