Since its establishment in 1982, Integrated Packaging Group IPG , a privately run, Australian owned company has grown to become the largest local manufacturing specialist of plastic stretch film and associated equipment in Australia.
In February 2013, IPG acquired the business and assets of the Amcor Flexibles Packaging formerly Aperio plants in Cheltenham, Chester Hill and Kirrawee which reinforces IPG’s growth strategy in industrial and agricultural packaging. As a market leader, IPG now offers innovative products with cost effective solutions featuring a large range of packaging and stretch film options. 2006 Agricultural product range expanded to include horticultural nettings and twines. IPG services the industrial and agricultural markets through manufacturing facilities in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth in Australia, and Auckland NZ. We are also agents for some of the leading global flexible packaging brands.
Our expanded manufacturing capability includes cast and blown stretch films, printed and plain collation shrink films, sacks and printed laminates, PVC food films, stretch hoods and pallet wrap, as well as an extensive range of agricultural crop packaging products. He has a broad range of successes that includes business turnaround, Asian based manufacturing, joint venture establishment and acquisition. John has been the CEO of the Integrated Packaging Group since 2003 and prior to joining IPG John was a senior executive and Divisional General Manager in the Amcor packaging business for 10 years and CEO of Detmold Packaging for five years. Since joining IP she has restructured the Group’s finance facility to enable growth and controlled costs to improve profitability.
He has been a senior sales manager in the flexible packaging industry for over 20 years. These include establishment and transition of major new business both in Australia and overseas, strategic planning, acquisitions and cultural organisational change. Prior to joining IPG in 2005, Rob was National Sales Marketing Manager at Detmold Industrial Packaging for 7 years, and held National and State Manager roles with Amcor Flexibles Kewdale Division for nearly 8 years. He has been instrumental in setting up the manufacturing plants in New Zealand and Ireland and with the expansion of the Australian operation.
He has also contributed to product and process development within the Group, which has led to a number of patents worldwide
