The business soon grew with contract work coming from Markline Boats so Sam hired a team and moved SABR to a rented premise at the corner of Holmes Mahia Roads in Manurewa. In 1988, Sam purchased land on Holmes Road where he would later establish his purpose built high studded factory with gantry units for lifting boats. This allowed Sam his team to do contract boat building and laminating for a number of other boat building companies as well as fibreglass moulds and repairs for other clients.
From there, SABR began to manufacture its own range of boats under the affiliated company Superior Boats. With decades of experience and the ability to weather economic storms, the Superior Group remains committed to producing innovative products, superior quality boats and top end custom shuttles
